Where do you think you are? London Festival of Architecture success
Where do you think you are?
The theme for this year’s London Festival of Architecture was ‘Memory‘.
Local architects collected memories of Hammersmith’s changing architecture, which was presented at an exhibition at St. Paul’s Centre from 20 to 29 June. The exhibition, in partnership with West London Link, captured the character of a handful of places in central Hammersmith, including Hammersmith Town Hall, the Broadway Centre, and the Apollo.
Additionally, we hosted two free guided walks this month as part of the London Festival of Architecture. The first on 3 June was about the Lyric Hammersmith and Hammersmith Library. Walkers admired the architecture and history of these two iconic buildings and heard about the local memories encapsulated there.
The second walk on 24 June centred around St. Paul’s Church. Walkers heard about the memories, both architectural and otherwise, of the church.
We were happy to receive positive feedback on the festival and to share memories of our wonderful town centre.
